皆さんこんにちは。メリーウエストイングリッシュ四日市追分校のトリシュナです。

    It's already the middle of October which means it's only a few days until it's Halloween week. Did you know the Halloween party is the biggest event in our school? That is why we are doing many crafts and activities to prepare for the biggest week. This year for our elementary class we are making paper Mache cat. We divided this craft into 3 weeks. In the first week, we made the structure using flour, water, and newspapers. In the second week, we are painting the dried structure black, and in the third week, we are giving the structure facial features. By doing this,  kids  not only have fun but also learn new vocabulary. Ex: flour, Newspaper, dip, paste.. etc. This is the picture of our great student right after finishing making the structure.  

 

もうすでに10月の半ば、という事はハロウイーンの週まであと数日という事です。皆さんはハロウイーンパーティがメリーウエストイングリッシュでは一番のイベントだというのを知っていましたか？私たちはそのためにたくさんのクラフトやアクティビティを準備しています。今年、小学生クラスでは紙で作る「Mache cat」に3週間かかって取り組んでいます。今週は小麦粉、水そして新聞紙を使って骨組みを作りました。2週目には乾いた骨組みを黒く塗り、3週目にはその上に表情を付けます。このようなクラフトを行うことで子供たちはクラフトを楽しむだけでなく、新しい言葉を学びます。例えば、flour, newspaper, dip, paste,,などなど。下の写真は骨組みを作り終えたばかりの生徒様の写真です。

     In our school, we try to make our classes as fun as possible. Sometimes we learn from textbooks and other times through arts and crafts. No matter what the method of learning is, you can learn new things every day here in Merry West English. 

　メリーウエストイングリッシュでは生徒様に心から楽しんでいただけるようベストを尽くしています。テキストはもちろん、アートやクラフトを通して学んでいます。どのような方法であれ、メリーウエストでは新しい事を毎日学んでいただけます。
